Artist Statement

My practice explores the inner child as a creative presence- not a subject to depict, but a voice to listen to. I’m interested in how returning to this part of myself can open up spaces of emotional memory, inherited feeling, and transformation through play.

I’m drawn to materials that feel expressive and direct like oil pastels, glitter, stickers, and thread, using drawing and stitching as ways to translate feeling into form. I use these tactile processes to explore the duality of childhood: its surface joy and its hidden emotional weight.

I aim to create work that asks gentle questions: Where do we carry our childhood selves? How can the objects, spaces and images of our past still speak through the present? What happens when we give our young selves voice, gesture and space?

In the studio I listen first,  and then I make.
