Artist Statement

My practice involves the inner child as a site of emotional memory, play, and healing. I think about how reconnecting with this internal self, not just through representation but through somatic presence, can reveal inherited emotional patterns and support personal growth. Working from therapeutic models like Family Constellation Therapy and the concept of embodied trauma, my practice is a visual and tactile practice of emotional integration.

I am drawn to the duality of childhood, its shiny surfaces and hidden emotional weight. I use materials like oil pastels, beads, glitter, and stickers - things that are associated with play - and sew them onto canvas to create textile-based paintings that pair tension with tenderness.

My work asks viewers to think about their own childhood, their own relationships, and unspoken inheritances. It is not only a personal act of healing, but a shared invitation to reconnect with vulnerability, imagination, and the quiet truths that shaped us.
